 About Creative Google Skills

Participants will explore strategies for using the Google For Education Suite creatively in their classrooms. Participants will explore how to use Google For Education Suite tools such as Google Sites, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Earth, and Slides and create a unit learning hub for their classroom. The course will focus on developing students’ skill sets in these tools and best practices for classroom collaboration, student choice, and assessment.

 Expected Learning Outcomes

At the conclusion of this course participants should be able to:

  • Create digital learning tools for students with Google Sites
  • Create a hyperdoc using Google Docs and Sites to share information with students
  • Create and organize data using Google Sheets and Forms
  • Create a virtual note-taking exercise for students using Goole Slides
  • Explore tools to make choices on what fits best in the classroom
  • Create a learning hub that combines a collection of Google for Education tools and helps students use these tools as part of their assignments

 Final Assessment

During the course, participants will create a learning hub that combines a collection of Google for Education tools.  For the final assessment participants will share the final version of their learning hub using the UEN Lesson Plan Remix Template in eMedia.
