Enhance student learning and engagement with educational technology and multimedia. Explore multimedia resources available to teachers on sites like eMedia and Utah’s Online Library. Learn to create digital images, narrated slideshows, and zooming presentations. Participants will also learn strategies to help students develop visual literacy and critical thinking skills.

Expected Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this course participants should be able to:
  • Explain the importance of visual literacy
  • Use Adobe Spark Post and Page (or similar tools) to create effective educational posters, graphics, and web pages.
  • Locate and effectively use educational video from online sources such as eMedia and YouTube.
  • Use Adobe Spark Video (or similar tool) to create effective narrated slideshows that are educational
  • Teach their students to effectively use Google Earth (or similar tool) to learn about the world
  • Create zooming presentations by using Prezi.

Final Assessment
Create a teaching/learning resource by using either LucidChart, Google Earth, or Prezi.
