About Teaching the 4 Cs Using iPads

This 6-week online class will give educators the opportunity to explore apps and functionalities of iPads while focusing on teaching 21st Century Skills that will prepare students for the workforce and world that they will be entering. Using the 4 Cs (Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking), we will look at how iPads can be used as powerful tools to enhance the learning that is already taking place in the classroom

 Expected Learning Outcomes

At the conclusion of this course participants should be able to:

• Apply the 4 Cs in their instruction and have an understanding of their iPad
• Understand creativity and how to teach creativity using certain iPad apps
• Understand communication and how to teach it using certain iPad apps
• Understand collaboration and how to teach collaboration using certain iPad apps
• Understand critical thinking and be able to teach it using certain iPad apps
• Utilize different iPad apps and in conjunction with 4 C's as a whole

 Final Assessment

Throughout the course the participant will be required to create several mini lessons for the classroom. They will also be required to write a 2-3 paragraph reflection on their understanding of the 4 Cs and its classroom application.
