About Nearpod Certified Coach
In this course, participants will be given the skills to be able to deliver professional development on Nearpod. This includes extensive training on beginner, intermediate and advanced training decks along with learning best practices on delivering professional development as well as best practices in using Nearpod. Upon completion, participants will be able to comfortably use Nearpod in a wide variety of settings as well as train teachers and administrators in using Nearpod to enhance student learning. Participants are required to submit a 10-minute video of them leading a professional development session on Nearpod to become certified as a Nearpod Coach.

These courses are open-entry/exit with no enrollment cap. All coursework and assignments can be completed at the participants' own pace. There is very limited instructor interaction. This course must be completed by 12/31/2022.
Due to a large number of participants in these courses grading is done on a monthly rotation, usually on the first Monday of each month. It can take an additional week to process the grade through SUU or USBE. Please understand these expectations before registering for this course.
Expected Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this course participants should be able to:
- Use Nearpod at an expert level.
- Successfully deliver professional development on Nearpod.
- Understand best practices in delivering professional development.
- Support the implementation of Nearpod at their school/district site using various strategies.
- Develop a professional development rollout plan.
- Submit a 10-minute video highlighting their professional development delivery in a classroom setting.
We want to see how YOU train teachers! You've seen us, now it's your turn! Record yourself training a group of teachers using one of the decks provided. Pick a good 10-15 minutes of the training (this can be virtual or in-person) and submit it to Canvas. Don't worry about perfection- we just want to see how you train and interact with teachers. If you are not able to do a presentation with teachers at this time, you may instead submit a "mock training" where you can submit a screencast of you doing a mock training using one of the decks above.
