Full course description
This course is designed to support a school or district implementation of Nearpod. Completing this course will enable teachers to utilize the Nearpod platform to deliver high-quality instruction easily. Understanding the basics of the Nearpod platform empowers those who use it to facilitate intentional and thoughtful engagement with curriculum through technology. The course will show how to navigate the features of Nearpod, but will also explore the ways in which teachers can employ "best practices" when using Nearpod with students. The ability to gather relevant real-time data will also be experienced in this course. Participants will learn how to use this data to drive current and future instruction. This course also includes opportunity to utilize Utah-specific resources through the Utah Education Network (UEN). These can be found in module 3b. Participants will see how easy it can be to curate amazing resources from all over the internet into engaging lessons that provide valuable formative learning experiences.
Assignments in this course, and the Nearpod Certified Educator program, will require that lessons are not only created in Nearpod but also used with students or an audience for the purpose of writing reflections and adjusting content. If you are not currently teaching you will need to find an audience with whom to practice your Nearpod lessons and complete the necessary reflections for the Nearpod Certified Educator requirements.

Expected Learning Outcomes
- Use the basic features of Nearpod comfortably and confidently with students.
- Guide instruction with the data gathered through the Nearpod platform lesson in "live" and "student-paced" lessons.

Upon completion of the assignments, the participant will be eligible to become a Nearpod Certified Educator. This is the final project for the course.
